JDLD 2025 AI Challenge: Results & Highlights

The JDLD 2025 competition took place on 20–21 June 2025 at the University of Southampton Malaysia, bringing together bright young minds from secondary schools and universities across the country. Participants took on two key challenges: building intelligent AI chatbots and completing selected modules from the ICDL Digital Skills certification.
This exciting event was proudly organized by DEW Technology, aiming to empower the next generation with AI and digital competencies through hands-on learning and competition.

Winners of JDLD 2025 Competition

Tertiary Level Winners

The overall rankings were based on combined performance in both the AI chatbot development and the ICDL module completion.

🥇 Champion was awarded to Samin Sarwat from UTM.

🥈 1st Runner‑Up went to Lim Shao Yang from TAR UMT.

🥉 2nd Runner‑Up was claimed by Chew Fong Yee, from TAR UMT.

Secondry Level winners

In the secondary category, both participants represented Paragon Private & International School.

Best Female Contestant 

Chew Fong Yee from Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) was awarded Best Female Contestant for JDLD 2025. This recognition spans both the secondary and tertiary categories, highlighting her exceptional performance and overall contribution to the competition.

Top Performing Institute

Based on overall performance and participation, Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology was awarded first place, standing out with strong individual results and high engagement.

EduMatrix Chatbot Competition Qualifiers

Several standout participants were selected to advance to the EduMatrix Chatbot Competition.

From TAR UMT, the qualifiers included Lim Shao Yang, Chew Fong Yee, Leong Hui Chun, and Low Nam Lee. Samin Sarwat from UTM was also selected based on the strength of their chatbot performance.
